Delicious food, and I loved the little courtyard out back!

Food was very mediocre and not fresh. Tasted like eating leftovers. Not authentic and no central air conditioning. Extremely hot inside. Service is friendly but again it's like eating leftovers. Everything seems precooked. Disappointment. Would have been better off eating fast food.

You absolutely want to go if you have a second. The food is great, the service is awesome, the owner who may wait on you is the absolute man.

This restaurant is a refreshing break from the deep fried, bible belt hell, that I call South Carolina. Food was fresh and full of flavor. The Owner, Gaston, checked on our table personally and engaged in some pleasant conversation. I recommend to anyone that actually cares about what kind of food they put into their bodies....

This is an absolute gem in the area, and worth the stop! A Caribbean Sweetness is true authentic food, and if you havent tried a Cuban Sandwich before, you're in for a treat! The customer service is on point, and this place is just so welcoming with the owner always making it a point to welcome you.

Absolutely awesome, definitely a hidden jem in the Burg! The food is full of flavor and the personalized service for Gas is something to remember. My new favorite place to eat and be merry in the Burg!

Update 11.5.18 - owner retired and restaurant closed this past weekend. Gaston and Nick will be missed! You have to try this place! Yummy meals such as jerk chicken, yellow rice and black beans. They have lots to choose from. Additional parking in the back.

Caribbean Sweetness is the BOMB! Relaxing atmosphere with an entertaining host/owner. He will definitely make you laugh. The food is absolutely delicious and as authentic as you can get. I had the Jerk Chicken with Yellow Rice, Black Beans and Plaintains. No complaints whatsoever. You just can't put your fork down. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend you try it!

Owner and Main chef Gustavo is a great guy but aside from that you could throw a dart at his menu and end up with something spectacular. Everything on his menu is great. Its always a good experience with food and staff.

Tiny unassuming exterior but don't let that turn you away. This place has great plantains, yucca, and beans and rice. The pork was so good I considered ordering more even though I was full.

Will miss this place when they retire! Great, authentic Caribbean good, casual friendly atmosphere.

The owner is one of the most approachable people you will meet in the local restaurants. He is a hilarious character and serves a great cuisine. I only had the Cuban sandwich but am confident that dinner here is a very great experience. Give this place a try because it will be a staple of great food in the downtown area as it grows

A Caribbean Sweetness is a hidden gem. They rarely seem to have many customers, and they are easily missed while driving by. They serve great Cuban sandwiches, as well as a select few additional dishes. Great plantains. Good service. Very reasonable prices. Thanks, ACS!

Always good, a great relaxing atmosphere. How there isn't a long line all the time I don't know. Everything I have ever gotten there was great.

My first time eatting here, unfortunately it came a bit too late. It's sad to hear they are closing because everything was absolutely outstanding.

Not sure how I missed this little gem before. We ordered takeout, but sat on the patio while waiting. Everything about the restaurant, inside and out, is immaculate.The owner and his wife were super friendly and service was fast, although it was a little before lunch. Despite being a relatively small space, the decor makes the restaurant feel open and airy. The blue and yellow color scheme though Our food was delicious, although I was hoping for pulled pork, not sliced. But it was still delicious, with good quality meat.The fried plantain chips we're amazing, and not too oily. All in all, the meal was incredibly priced for the quality.Can't wait to check these guys out for a proper dinner on the patio!

Server/owner? Was nice enough. Though he let it be known he doesn't like people who are uptight. It was like eating at my Hispanic friends house. Inappropriate language and all, late night as it was. The food is ok, but I wouldn't call it authentic Cuban food. I Have had all kinds of food including authentic Cuban food. That wasn't it. It's small inside. You will drive right by it and not know it's there! Very odd location, but it's quaint and comfy like home.

Delicious, unusual food. In a world where burger joints man every corner, A Caribbean Sweetness is a welcome break. The flavors truly stand out. It's unassuming facade may lack the flash of other restaurants but that shouldn't deter you! Highly recommend!

Everything in this cafe is absolutely AMAZING !! Rice and beans, shrimp, fish, jerk chicken, Havana chicken, picadillo... ALL OF THE FOOD IS so mouth watering and fresh. The combinations of the meats and the side dishes are just the best. Definitely something I can eat on a daily basis. If you haven't tried the sandwiches or the meat with three sides, it's a absolute must !!!!!

Look no further for Cuban cuisine. It's tasty, hot & fresh. Cafe type set up with outdoor seating in the back. When in Spartanburg we stop as we love it here!

I was not impressed! They're other places around town with more authentic flavor and better portions. I don't think a single slice of ham is appropriate for a Cuban sandwich. Won't be coming back. :(
